Introduction to English @ SEGi

Today it is widely accepted that English is the language of diplomacy and international communications, business, tourism, education, science, computer technology, media and the Internet - with almost 70% of all information stored electronically being in English.

The increasing role of English as the language of international communication demands that professionals across all fields be efficient and effective in all areas of communication in language. In understanding this market demand, the programmes offered at SEGi are taught 100% in English.

The Intensive English Programme is specially designed for international students. It aims to improve these students' English language proficiency to a level equivalent to around IELTS 5.0 - 5.5 to enable them to further their studies at the diploma and degree levels as well as to find employment in English-speaking environments.

Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in English and Public Relations Awarded by SEGi University College 3 years (for STPM, A Levels, foundation, UEC or equivalent graduates), 2 years (Diploma holders in a related field may gain direct entry to Year 2. Subject to approval.) (full time)
Intensive English Programme Awarded by SEGi Duration will differ depending on the students’ competency level. Each level is three (3) months long. (full time)
